With momentum in Ohio moving steadily in Republicans’ direction, Governor Mitt Romney, Congressman Paul Ryan, and top Republican leaders are headed to Speaker Boehner’s hometown in Butler County to kick off the final 72-hour push in the race for the White House on Friday evening. CNN reports that “Aside from Boehner, featured guests… include former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Sen. John McCain of Arizona.”

Today’s unemployment report was a sobering reminder that the president’s economic policies have failed. As Congressman Boehner noted on his Facebook page this morning, “After 43 straight months with the unemployment rate has been higher than eight percent, the American people are still asking, ‘where are the jobs?’”

In an extended interview yesterday at the Republican National Convention, Congressman Boehner told FOX News’ Brett Baier that Mitt Romney is in strong position to win Ohio on November 6th. Boehner also said VP Nominee Paul Ryan – a Miami University graduate – “will help” Republicans in the Buckeye State and said Republicans are the only ones with a plan to save and protect Medicare.
