The New York Times reports today that "one year after the collapse of Lehman Brothers… the government is the nation's biggest lender, insurer, automaker and guarantor against risk for investors large and small." And rather than offer a plan for ending the taxpayer-funded bailouts, President Obama argued in a speech this morning for "an increased government role in overseeing the financial system."

In a press conference yesterday, Congressman Boehner addressed several inaccuracies in the President's remarks to Congress on health care. In the video below, Boehner notes that under the Democrats' government takeover of health care, millions of workers will be forced into a government-run plan and Democrats rejected two amendments to their bill making it clear that illegal immigrants would not be receive taxpayer-funded benefits.
