With momentum in Ohio moving steadily in Republicans’ direction, Governor Mitt Romney, Congressman Paul Ryan, and top Republican leaders are headed to Speaker Boehner’s hometown in Butler County to kick off the final 72-hour push in the race for the White House on Friday evening. The U.S. national debt is now officially more than $16 trillion, which equates to more than $50,000 for every man, woman and child in America, NPR reports. In a statement, Congressman Boehner called the debt, which has increased more under President Obama than any other President, a “sad reminder of President Obama’s promise to cut the deficit in half.”
